The Calendar Crisis: Why Does Every Day Feel the Same?

Reclaiming Purpose: "Once in a Lifetime" "Stop Drifting, Start Living!"

Hey there. I hope 2025 is going well. I know we are not consistent with these. At the bottom, I do have some questions. If you could take a minute to answer them, please do. Also, feel free to share and help me build this Newsletter.

Ever feel like life’s stuck on autopilot? You wake up, go through the motions, and suddenly you're asking yourself, “How did I get here?” That’s the vibe Talking Heads captured perfectly in their hit "Once in a Lifetime." It's more than just a quirky tune—it's a reflection of that unsettling realization that life’s slipping by without us noticing.

🎶 Lyrics That Hit Home: 🎶 "And you may ask yourself, 'Well… how did I get here?' Letting the days go by, Let the water hold me down..."

These words echo the feeling of drifting through life, letting time pass without purpose. But here's the good news: We don't have to stay stuck. God's Word reminds us that we’re called to live with intention and awareness, even in the everyday moments.

Devotional Inspiration: 📖 "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil." — Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV)

Paul’s words in Ephesians are a powerful reminder to wake up and live deliberately. It’s easy to fall into routines that feel lifeless, but God calls us to be present, to make the most of every opportunity. Life isn't meant to be a blur of sameness; it's a series of moments where we can reflect His love, even in the smallest tasks.

🌟 The Takeaway: 🌟

Pause and Reflect – Don’t let the days slip by unnoticed.

Take time to reflect on where you are and where God is leading you.

Live with Intention – Approach each day with purpose, finding meaning in both the big moments and the mundane.

Invite God In – Let God guide your daily routine. When He’s at the center, even the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

✨ A Reflection: ✨

If you've been feeling like life’s on repeat, you're not alone. But the beautiful thing is, we can break the cycle. With God’s guidance, we can step out of the rut and into a life filled with purpose. Let "Once in a Lifetime" be your wake-up call this week. Take a step back, ask yourself, “How did I get here?”—and then invite God into that question. He’ll show you how to turn every day into an opportunity to grow, love, and live fully.

You've got this. 💪 Let’s make today count!
